This bowl is deep rich brown with darker streaks running through. There is a natural void on one side that was filled with ca glue. Decorative texturing was added to the bottom. It is finished with food safe walnut oil, waxed and buffed.
The tree was damaged in a windstorm in May 2012, South Carolina. We salvage the wood, dried it and turn it into this lovely bowl.
To keep this bowl in good condition, wipe down with a damp cloth with a small amount of soap and warm water and wipe dry with a kitchen towel. When this bowl start to look dull or dried out wipe down with a small amount of mineral or walnut oil found in your supermarket, let set a few minutes and wipe out any excess oil. This will refresh your bowls color and luster back to its original state.
