This bowl is made of Maple wood from a down tree in a windstorm in the Carolina’s. Decorative texturing was added to the bottom. Finished with orange oil, waxed and buffed.
All our items are one of a kind and made entirely of salvage or down trees. None are exactly the same, and thus none are perfect, but the slight imperfections are an affect of the handmade quality. Most of our bowls are made to be functional and food safe.
To keep this bowl in good condition, wipe down with a damp cloth with a small amount of soap and warm water, wipe dry with a kitchen towel. When this bowl start to look dull or dried out wipe down with a small amount of mineral or walnut oil found in your supermarket, let set a few minutes and wipe off any excess oil. This will restore the warm polished look and keep the wood in good condition. Never put in a dishwasher or a microwave.
