Hand turned bowl made from Ambrosia maple wood, it is definitely one of a kind. Due to the Ambrosia beetles boring holes in the wood, leaving be hide those beautiful dark line in the wood. There are many wormholes in is bowl. If this is use as a salad bowl, I would only use with a dry salad (no salad dressing). Decorative texture was added to the side and bottom. Finished with food safe oil, waxed and buffed. Food safe.

To keep this bowl in good condition, wipe down with a damp cloth with a small amount of soap and warm water, wipe dry with a kitchen towel. When this bowl start to look dull or dried out wipe down with a small amount of mineral or walnut oil found in your supermarket, let set a few minutes and wipe off any excess oil. This will restore the warm polished look and keep the wood in good condition. Never put in a dishwasher or a microwave.
